Thousands of commuters are facing travel headaches this morning as major disruption impacts Northside DART, Northern Commuter and Enterprise rail services across Dublin.

Iarnród Éireann has warned that up to 20,000 passengers could be affected after overhead power lines were damaged in the Raheny area on Tuesday evening.

There are currently no DART services operating from Malahide or Howth to Clontarf Road, with DART services running only between Clontarf Road and Bray/Greystones.

Rail crews worked through the night after using a single line to transport concertgoers from Malahide Castle back into the city. Repair work began at approximately 1.30am.

For passengers travelling on Enterprise services between Dublin and Belfast, a bus transfer service is operating between Connolly Station and Drogheda.

Northern Commuter services are also suspended between Howth Junction and Connolly Station, while Enterprise passengers travelling between Dublin and Belfast are being accommodated by bus transfers between Connolly and Drogheda.

Iarnród Éireann has not yet indicated when services will return to normal and engineers are continuing to assess the damage.

Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and check service updates before travelling.

Commuters can stay up to date with the latest developments on Iarnród Éireann's X account for live travel updates.
