Just days after performing at Dublin's Malahide Castle, Katy Perry has released her new single, Watch It Burn, alongside a cinematic music video that continues the story from last year's bandaids.
The track arrived globally on Friday following months of fan speculation and marks Perry's first new release since taking to the stage in Malahide earlier this week as part of her latest tour.

Described as an emotionally charged anthem, Watch It Burn explores themes of bottled-up anger, emotional release and reclaiming personal power after years of suppressing difficult feelings.
According to Perry's team, the song is "about permission to feel anger honestly, to stop minimizing pain and let the suppressed emotions finally surface."
Produced by Justin Tranter, Jason Gill, Eren Cannata and Daniel Crean, the single combines Perry's signature powerhouse vocals with a more vulnerable lyrical approach.
The accompanying music video, directed by Christian Breslauer, picks up immediately where the bandaids video ended, completing what Perry describes as a two-part emotional journey from "wound" to "release." Fans had been anticipating the song since it was first teased as an Easter egg in the bandaids music video last year.
The visual premiered simultaneously with the single's release and also debuted across MTV Live, MTVU and the Paramount Times Square billboards.
The release follows Perry's performance at Malahide Castle on Tuesday night, where thousands of Irish fans turned out to see the pop superstar perform many of her biggest hits.
