Tommy Tiernan is set to return to the stage later this year with a new stand-up show, announcing a nationwide run he has dubbed the "World Tour of Counties."
The tour will take place between October and December, bringing the comedian to a wide variety of venues across Ireland, from arts centres to local pubs and community halls.
The opening leg includes six performances in County Westmeath, followed by another six dates in Leitrim. The tour will then continue through Limerick before heading to Mayo and Galway.
Announcing the tour on Instagram, Tiernan highlighted the diversity of the venues audiences can expect.
“No venue too big or too small, from fancy arts centres to pubs with no lager and from hotel function rooms to local town halls,” the post read.
The announcement follows another successful year for the comedian, who was recently named Irish Comedian of the Year for a second consecutive year in the Hot Press Readers' Poll 2026.
Tiernan also recently completed a sold-out run portraying Ray in the musical drama The House Must Win, which toured through Dún Laoghaire and Cork during the spring.
Earlier this year, he featured in Hot Press' History in the Making: The Concert at Dublin's 3Arena as part of the event's lineup.
Away from the live stage, Tiernan continues to host The Tommy Tiernan Show, the long-running RTÉ chat series that first aired in 2017. The programme has become known for its unique format, with neither Tiernan nor the studio audience knowing the identity of each guest until they walk on stage.
Over the years, the show has welcomed a wide range of high-profile guests, including former President Michael D. Higgins, musicians Hozier and Dermot Kennedy, former Republic of Ireland captain Roy Keane and many others.
Tickets for the "World Tour of Counties" will go on general sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 30.
