The death of Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, is being investigated as a suspected overdose.
Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California.
The Santa Monica Police Department said officers were called to a report of a possible overdose at around 9.35am.
When they arrived, Gerber was already deceased.

Police have said there is currently no indication of foul play and the investigation remains ongoing.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Monday, but his cause and manner of death have been deferred while further testing is carried out.
The medical examiner said it could take several months before an official cause of death is determined.

Gerber was the eldest child of Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.
His family confirmed his death through a representative, who said: “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Presley had followed his mother's career into modelling and was signed to IMG Models as a teenager.
He made his runway debut for Moschino at the age of 16 and went on to work with major fashion brands including Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.

In 2018, he appeared alongside his mother in a Pepsi Super Bowl advertisement which recreated elements of Crawford's famous 1992 Pepsi commercial.
He also appeared in a Calvin Klein campaign with his sister Kaia.

Away from modelling, Presley had spoken publicly about his struggles with mental health and substance use.
In 2025, he launched a series called Mental Health Mondays on social media, with the aim of encouraging people to talk more openly about issues that are often kept private.
His sister Kaia also spoke about the impact of his struggles on their family in an interview with Vogue earlier this year.

Following the news of his death, tributes have been shared by people who knew him, including former partners and friends.
The investigation into his death is continuing.
For now, authorities have not confirmed what caused Gerber's death, and the suspected overdose remains an area of investigation rather than an established cause.
