Nikita Hand launched her book, Not The Perfect Victim in Dublin on Wednesday, saying that she hopes it will "help other survivors".
The book, which she launched with US comedian, Rosie O'Donnell, has been described as "personal account of resilience and recovery".
At the event launching this book, which was hosted by O'Donnell at Parnell Square's Irish Writers Centre, Nikita Hand was joined by her partner, Gary, daughter Freya, as well as her mother and friends.
This comes after a civil High Court jury had found MMA star, Conor McGregor liable for sexually assaulting Nikita Hand at a hotel in Dublin in December 2018, a night which Nikita says changed her life forever.
"I always knew I wanted to tell my story. This book is about survival, resilience and refusing to be defined by the worst thing that ever happened to you. It is about taking back your power", Nikita said. "By sharing my experience, I hope to help other survivors find the courage to speak, to seek support and to know they are never alone".
"I also hope it sparks important conversations about consent, accountability and the harmful impact of shame and victim-blaming", she continued. "Change happens when we listen, learn and do better, and I hope this book plays a small part in that".
Elsewhere, Rosie O'Donnell said: "I am honoured to launch Nikita Hand's book this evening. It is a cause close to my heart, which is why I believe books like this matter so much".
"By telling her story, with such remarkable dignity and openness, she will help other survivors feel seen, heard and less alone. It will also shine a light on the importance of speaking truth to power".
"At a time when public voices and powerful platforms carry enormous influence, we all have a responsibility to ensure that survivors are not sidelined and that accountability is never treated as an afterthought", she added.
Publisher, Ciara Considine spoke of her immense pride at having the opportunity to publish Hand's story.

Nikita Hand's story also drew praise from the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

18 months after reporting the incident to the Gardaí, Nikita Hand was told by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) that they would not be proceeding with a case.
But a civil jury had ruled that Mr McGregor had sexually assaulted Ms Hand in a Dublin hotel room, awarding her almost €250,000.
