Woman, 30s, Dies Following Assault In Dublin On Monday

A woman has died following a serious assault in Dublin earlier this week.

The woman, aged in her 30s, died after suffering serious injuries near Main Street in Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday afternoon last. She later died from her injuries after being brought to Beaumont Hospital following the assault, according to reports in RTÉ.

Gardaí have confirmed that a post mortem examination has since been carried out, with the results to determine the course of the investigation.


A man in his 20s was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the assault, but was released without charge yesterday, with a file to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A Family Liaison Officer continues to support the victim's family.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to this incident to get in contact with them, particularly anyone who was in the vicinity of Main Street, Belmayne between 3pm and 3.45pm on Monday, and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to them.

The investigation remains ongoing.
