Michael Douglas has denied that he is a sex addict, saying he was simply a “healthy product of the Sixties” while reflecting on his colourful love life.
The Hollywood actor has spoken openly about his relationships over the years, including his admission that he had an affair with his Romancing The Stone co-star Kathleen Turner while filming the 1984 adventure comedy.

At the time, Douglas was married to his first wife, Diandra Luker. The couple had married in 1977 and remained together until their divorce was finalised in 2000. Douglas later married Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones in 2000.
Douglas has now addressed questions about his past relationships and rejected the suggestion that he had a sex addiction.

Speaking to The Times, he was asked if he had ever wondered why he had slept with so many women.
He replied: “I don’t know if I slept with so many women, I don’t see it that way. No, not me, no. I was a healthy product of the Sixties.”

He also questioned why the British press appeared particularly interested in his sex life.
“My curiosity is why, of all countries, of all the press that I do, why are the Brits so consumed with the issues of sex?”
