Star Wars actor John Boyega has revealed that he secretly married his wife, Lashontae Heckard, and the couple have also welcomed their first child together.
The actor shared the happy news with fans in a sweet video showing him cradling his baby, revealing that their little one had actually arrived some time ago.

He wrote: “Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too!
“Back to feeding this big baby!”

Boyega and Heckard, who is known as Tae, have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, choosing to keep their personal lives private.
The actor recently explained why they opted for a small wedding ceremony nearly two years ago, telling The Guardian that they preferred to celebrate something they had already built together rather than make a big occasion out of the start of their marriage.
“We both like the idea of celebrating something established, rather than celebrating the entry,” he said.

Boyega is best known for playing Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, appearing in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. He has also starred in films including Attack the Block and The Woman King.
The announcement marks a new chapter for the actor, who has kept details of his relationship and family life largely away from the spotlight.
