Gardaí have seized cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of approximately €644,000 during an operation targeting the distribution of controlled drugs in the Mid-West region.
The seizure was made on Wednesday, 28th October 2026, by Gardaí attached to the Limerick Divisional Drug Unit as part of Operation Tara.
A search was conducted under warrant at a residential property on Old Singland Road, Limerick.
During the search, Gardaí seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €490,000 and heroin valued at approximately €154,000.
A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
She remains in Garda custody at a Garda station in the Limerick area, where she is being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.
