Jess Glynne has criticised the White House over its use of its viral Jet2 Holidays trend to promote its ICE deportations.
This comes as the singer's 2015 'Hold My Hand' has seen a recent resurgence over the last few weeks, with nearly millions of Tiktok users and more sharing their their horrible holiday experiences, which were soundtracked by a soundbite of the song and a Jet2holiday tagline.
This jingle has now soundtracked 1.9 million videos on TikTok and countless others on other platforms, with all clips shows disastrous holiday experiences.
Following this, the official X account for The White House shared a distasteful video showing several immigrants being deported out of the USA, with the Jet2 Holiday soundbite played in the background. Check out the video here.
Taking to social media, 'Hold My Hand' singer Jess Glynne hit out at this post from The White House.
“This post honestly makes me sick. My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity – never about division or hate", Glynne wrote. You can check out this post in full here.
This comes as the United States began a string of immigrant deportations across the country earlier in June. These deportations kicked off in Los Angeles, leading to riots and protests, as well as several musicians including Bruce Springsteen, Olivia Rodrigo, Addison Rae, Tom Morello and Green Day.
