Ike Turner Jr, the son of Tina and Ike Turner, has died aged 67.
This news was confirmed by the late musician's niece, Jacqueline Bullock, who said that Turner Jr died last Saturday in LA, just one day after his birthday. He had suffered kidney failure after years of ill health.
Jacqueline also confirmed that Ike Jr had suffered heart issues, and had a stroke last month.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my cousin, Ike Turner, Jr,” Bullock said in a statement. “Junior was more than a cousin to me, but rather a brother, as we grew up in the same famed household together".

Ike Jr largely stayed away from the spotlight during the height of the couple's fame, who were married in 1962, sharing four children, before divorcing in 1978. Ike Sr passed away in 2007 aged 76, while Tina died in 2023 aged 83.
Along with their four children, Tina also adopted her husband's two sons from previous relationships, Ike Jr and Michael Turner.
Ike Jr and his father Senior won a Grammy for best traditional blues album in 2007.
