Ronan Keating has said that he is "honoured" to have been asked to his his own New Years Eve party for the BBC.
The Boyzone star will host Ronan Keating And Friends: A New Year's Eve Party, where he will perform some of his favourite tracks with a string of guests.
Speaking about this, Keating told the BBC Radio Two: "When I got the call I was truly honoured".
He continued: "Honestly, it’s such an honour to be there on the night performing with my friends and with my band, all these songs".
Keating revealed that he would usually spend New Years' Eve with his family, with those plans having to change this year.
"It’s always our tradition, we don’t do parties, really. Being at home in the house, counting down, having dinner with the family", he said. "It’s such a special one and to see the New Year in with your loved ones is everything".
The singer added: "I’ll be able to share it with how many millions of people across the UK on New Year’s Eve, I can’t wait".
On this announcement, head of popular music TV at the BBC, Jonathan Rothery said: "I’ll be able to share it with how many millions of people across the UK on New Year’s Eve, I can’t wait".
"This year BBC Music are very happy to announce that Ronan Keating will take us into 2026 with some much-loved classics, joined by some very special guests".
Ronan Keating And Friends: A New Year's Eve Party will air on BBC One on December 31.
