Old Moore’s Almanac’s 2026 Predictions

Old  Moore's Almanac has been predicting the future since 1764, and next year looks extra unusual. Their in-house psychic predicted some of the following to occur next year;

• Traditional banking is set for a turbulent year as cryptocurrencies and DeFi drive a major shift of assets away from traditional institutions.
• Aviation is expected to debut its first pilotless cargo flights,
• Ireland faces forecasts of its worst flooding in decades.
• An unexpected royal baby announcement could dominate entertainment headlines.
• Viral AI failures capture public attention.
• Several countries are likely to expand trials of a four-day work week.
• A MAJOR cruise ship incident is predicted to command prolonged media coverage.
• Youth-focused medical tourism is set to surge, peptide wellness trends are expected to go mainstream.
• The tech world anticipates the launch of the first affordable home robot.

And usually, the Almanac always gets a few predications correct.

One that stood out most to me is that, Ireland is expected to face its most severe flooding in decades, as a series of intense weather events overwhelm coastal defences and river systems. Similarly, the major cruise incident. It has predicted that, "a major cruise ship issue will capture global attention. The media will stay on this one for quite some time."  The four day work week is particularly amusing. The Almanac has predicted that when the multiple countries adopt this week,  it will " spark intense political debate in other nations considering similar measures."

I'm so intrigued to see what ends up happening.  For 2025, the almanac successfully predicted some of the following;

The most significant one - A change of Pope. That's pretty impressive and completely un-expected. It predicted UK Immigration Conflict, Multiple Plane Crashes, The Charlie Kirk Effect: A Religious Revival, Volcanic Eruptions Increase, "life-changing storms” for Ireland (Storm Éowyn) and more....

We will have to keep an eye out next year and see!...
