Four walk-in vaccination centres will be available in Cork over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The clinics will offer a first dose of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine and are only available to those who have not yet received any shots. Second doses will not be offered.

Those attending must bring photo ID and a PPS number.

Anyone aged over 16 can avail of the centres.

The four centres and their opening times are:

•    Clonakilty GAA Club between 11am and 3pm on Saturday
•    Bantry Primary Care Centre on Sunday between 11am and 3pm
•    Cork City Hall on Sunday between 1pm and 4pm
•    MTU in Bishopstown - formerly CIT - on Monday between 10am and 4pm

"We are pleased to be in a position to make it as easy as possible for anyone who wishes to get a vaccination to do so as quickly as possible," said Bridie O’Sullivan, Chief Director of Nursing for the South West Hospital Group. "Vaccines offer our best protection against the effects of another wave of Covid-19 infections. Vaccination is free, safe and efficient. This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t yet registered for any reason to get their vaccine."
