Kerry Katona has explained she will continue to go under the knife as she fights to overcome her agonising body dysmorphia issues. The former singer opened up on her ordeal and explained her thoughts on body surgery in her weekly OK! column. Kerry is also looking for models of “all shapes and sizes” for her clothing boutique, revealing she was blown away by the response.

Kerry explains how she was determined to use a diverse range of people as she wanted women to “speak about their confidence and self-worth.” She has been under the knife “so many times and I’m continuing to because I’ve definitely got body dysmorphia from the industry I’ve been in”. Kerry said it is “hard” for people to love the body they are in as they should.

The star has been “really busy this week with my business” and announced that her YouTube channel is “back up and running”. “I took a break from YouTube because, obviously, we’ve been going through a pandemic and then our Angela died, but we’re back in action now. I did a video of me reacting to all the headlines that have been going on for the past few months, which was good fun. And I’ve got loads more planned!”.

In a bid to find models “all shapes and sizes” for her boutique, Kerry released an online advert. She was “blown away” by the response when she received “over a thousand emails!”, after feeling “nervous that nobody would respond”.

I’m looking for all shapes and sizes, and I want women to speak about their confidence and self-worth. I’ve been under the knife so many times and I’m continuing to because I’ve definitely got body dysmorphia from the industry I’ve been in. As much as I say people should love the body they’re in, it’s hard. I can’t wait to meet all these women and hear their stories.

Kerry appeared last week on BBC’s Morning Live, to raise awareness about addiction following the death of her aunt Angela. She wanted to speak “on behalf of families, rather than addicts themselves. The tv personality felt that “there was so much more I wanted to say but it’s tough on live TV! I said what I said and hopefully I’ve encouraged others to speak out.

The star also took the time to congratulate her friend, Danielle Lloyd who is currently pregnant on her fifth child. “She’s going to enjoy being a mum-of-five. I personally love having a big family. It’s great when we’re all together and just creating memories. Even if it’s just chilling together in the living room – it’s the family environment that I never had as a kid. I’m so happy for Danielle – she’s a great mum.

Kerry also explained how she shared the new on Instagram, last week, of how she had been turned down to appear on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. “Can you believe that?! I got turned down after the bloody life I’ve had! I was shocked.” Kerry believes she has always “got on very well” with Pierce and thinks he is “lovely”. “Whenever I did Good Morning Britain with him, we always had a laugh. I think I have a story to tell to inspire people – and for me, that’s what Life Stories is about.
