Manchester United Lead Condolences To Cristiano Ronaldo Following Death Of Baby Son

Manchester United have sent messages of support to Cristiano Ronaldo and his family, following the tragic death of his baby son.

Confirming the sad news yesterday (April 18), Man United's striker Ronaldo shared a statement alongside his partner Georgina Rodriguez. 

 “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away", the statement said. “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness". 

“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time".

"Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you". 

Since then, his club Manchester United have shown support, writing “Your pain is our pain, Cristiano". 

“Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time". 

Ronaldo's team mates also shared supportive messages, including Marcus Rashford, David de Gea, Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles. 

"Thoughts are with you and Georgina brother. I’m so sorry", Rashford wrote. 

His boyhood club Sporting Lisbon also added, "A lot of strength Cristiano. The Sportinguista family is with you". 

Manchester United face Liverpoo at Anfield l tonight in the Premier League.
