"Normal People" success at IFTAs

"Normal People" did very well at the IFTAs last night.

Paul Mescal picked up the IFTA for "Best Actor in a Drama" for his role as Connell in the drama.  Sarah Greene, who played his on-screen mother "Lorraine", picked up the award for "Best Supporting Actress".

Lenny Abrahamson won "Best Director" for "Normal People". and Fionn O'Shea, who played Marianne's boyfriend when she moved to France in the drama, won "Best Supporting Actor".

"Best Drama" went to "Normal People" and "Script Drama" was won by Sally Rooney for "Normal People".  The cinematography IFTA went to Kate McCullough for.......guess what....."Normal People".  

Production Design went to Lucy van Lonkhuyzen for "Normal People" and Sound Design to Steve Fanagan, Niall Brady and Niall O'Sullivan for "Normal People".
