How to update your home without spending a fortune

It’s that time of year where we all want to freshen up our homes and start looking forward to the long Summer days.  The weeks will pass by in the blink of an eye so now’s the time to update your home and the good news is, you don’t have to spend a fortune.

• Adding new door handles and kitchen cabinets knobs is a very inexpensive way to update the look
• Get the jet washer out of the shed and sort out the driveway and decking out the back.  It will look better with very little effort and no expense at all
• A new kitchen is probably out of reach financially but you can add a new lease of life with just 2 coats of paint on the existing cabinets

• Add some bathroom shelves and display some of the nicer bathroom items like bubble baths and fluffy towels
• Get rid of those red feature walls that went out of date years ago.  Think neutral colours for a fresh, clean look
• Tidy away cables at the back of the telly
• Add a new splashback in the kitchen
• Add a couple of hanging flower baskets out the front and back
