Families who lost loved ones in the Stardust tragedy are set to receive €500,000 in compensation for each person killed in nightclub fire
Families of the 48 people who died in the Stardust fire are to get €500 thousand in compensation.
Ministers are meeting remotely this afternoon to sign off on the €24 million compensation package.
A fire claimed the lives of the young people at a Valentine's night disco in February 1981.
In April inquests gave a verdict of unlawful killing for each of the victims.
