Chris Hemsworth is to take some time off acting after making an alarming health discovery.

While filming a docu-series for Disney+ called "Limitless", the "Thor" actor underwent a series of blood tests and discovered he is ten times more likely to develop Alzheimer's disease that someone without his particular genetic make-up.

The 39-year-old found out he has two copies of the gene ApoE4, inherited from both his parents.  The result has really triggered him to focus more on his wife and three children and so he won't be working as much as usual.  

The Australian actor also notes the benefit of preventative steps you can take such as sleep management, stress management, nutrition, movement and fitness - all done consistently.  

Chris clarified that it's not a pre-deterministic gene, however, it is a strong indication".
