A special concert celebrating the life and legacy of Aslan singer Christy Dignam will take place in Dublin next year.
Christy Dignam: A Celebration, will take place in Vicar Street on 3 May 2024, with tickets going on sale from next Monday (December 18) at 9am via Ticketmaster.
The Aslan frontman passed away following a long battle with a rare blood condition known as Amyloidosis earlier this year. He was diagnosed with the illness in 2013.
In honour of the singer's memory, this concert was confirmed, following several request from fans and artists, for a night that they can come together and pay tribute to Dignam and his legacy.
The event will be supported by Christy's family, with his widow Kathryn Dignam having this to say on the concert.
“Christy loved Vicar Street. It was a place where he felt at home and where he could connect with his fans on a deep level”, Kathryn Dignam stated. “We are so grateful to everyone who is helping to make this celebration a reality”.
Featuring a variety of top Irish artists performing songs from his career, a celebration of the life and music of Christy Dignam will be held at @Vicar_Street on 3 May 2024.
