Friends star Courteney Cox is to marry her partner Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid in Ireland this year.

It had been reported that the couple were to tie the knot in McDaid's home town of Derry. The wedding is set to take place at a local church, with the reception taking place in a castle.

"They’re planning an intimate winter wedding in Johnny’s hometown of Derry, Northern Ireland, in December at a local church, followed by a big party at a romantic castle nearby set in 1,000 acres of private land", a source said.

Two weeks ago, the pair celebrated their 8 year anniversary, with Cox writing via Instagram, "8 years later…I asked him to come up with a caption and he fell asleep. Still got it. ♥️ Happy Anniversary xoxo".

Courteney's Cox's daughter Coco set to be maid of honour, with her co-star from Friends Jennifer Aniston said to be bridesmaid.
