Eastenders Star Tony Selby Has Died

Eastenders and Doctor Who star Tony Selby has died at the age of 83.

Selby's manager confirmed the news. The actor was known for his roles in Eastenders, My Family and Doctor Who. 

The actor also play Corporal Percy Marshal in Get Some In!. This show ran from 1975 to 1978. Selby also starred in Love Hurts and Minder. 

Selby played Clive Mitchell (uncle of Phil and Sam Mitchell) in Eastenders. 

Selby also portrayed Glitz in Doctor Who between 1986 and 1987. 

"highly respected and loved"

Lizanne Crowther Managment released this statement, paying tribute to Tony Selby. 

"It is with great sadness we announce that the actor Tony Selby passed away peacefully in London yesterday", they said.

"In a career spanning 70 years in theatre, film and TV, Tony was highly respected and loved by family, friends and colleagues".

They added, "His renowned sense of humour will be missed by us all".
