Beyoncé has missed out on a nomination for the Country Music Association Awards.

The singer did not get a nod for the awards, despite her album Cowboy Carter becoming a cultural phenomenon following its release this year, with the first single 'Texas Hold 'Em' hitting top spot in the US charts, including the country list.

Country pop singer Morgan Wallen received the most award nominations with seven, including getting the nod for Entertainer of the Year, while Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson garnered five nominations each. Lainey Wilson and Post Malone received four nominations each.

Beyoncé was notably on the receiving end of racist comments after performing what was her most country track to date, Daddy Lessons at the CMA Awards in 2016.

The Country Music Association Awards ceremony will take place on November 20.
