The Friends reunion is finally here!!! Read to find out the time, date, and channel you can delve into 90s American nostalgia

Fans of iconic 90’s sitcom, Friends have been sent down nostalgic lane as they can watch the upcoming reunion episode. British broadcaster, Sky has confirmed that it will host the upcoming episode of Friends: The Reunion, on its Sky One channel.

It's been 17 years since the finale of Friends aired and, ever since, fans have been crying out for a reunion of the original cast. Now, viewers in Ireland and the UK can delve into the nostalgia fest when it broadcasts on May 27th, at 8pm.

HBO Max released a first-glimpse trailer for the show last week, transporting Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer back to Friends’ original Burbank studio. The Manhattan coffee lovers will cast back to reminisce on their time on set of Friends, and the show’s 10-year run.

The old gang will visit the set, taking part in Friends-themed quizzes and interviews, in an unscripted celebration of the Warner Bros. hit. The special is directed and executively produced by Ben Winston, along with Friends exec producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry, and Schwimmer also executive produced the special.

Sky and WarnerMedia have built up close ties from their long-running output deal, which was extended for five years back in 2019. The relationship gives the British broadcaster exclusive rights to American content through HBO originals, but not their HBO Max content. This resulted in Sky having to strike a separate deal to gain rights to show the Friends reunion.

The 90s sitcom enjoyed iconic status in Ireland and the UK due to its popularity for American culture. The Friends reunion is likely to receive many viewers as the New York-set comedy is still a daily fixture on ViacomCBS’s British channels, Comedy Central and Channel 5, while fans can catch the entire back catalogue on Netflix UK.
