Nicolas Cage has said that he would love to play the Egghead villain in 'The Batman' sequel.

The actor made these comments during an interview with Fox 7 Austin,  after he was asked if there were any roles that he would like to play at SXSW, when he mentioned a deep-cut Batman villain from the 1960s TV series starring Adam West.

“We have this new [movie with] Robert Pattinson as The Batman, which I’m excited to see. I haven’t seen it yet but I think he would be terrific", Cage said.

“The villain that Vincent Price played on the 60s show, Egghead, I think I want to have a go at Egghead", added the Gone In 60 Seconds star. "I think I can make him absolutely terrifying. And I have a concept for Egghead. So let them know over at Warner Bros., I’m down for Egghead".

Calling himself “the world’s smartest criminal”, Egghead uses a myriad of egg-themed weapons in the TV series. These powers include tear gas egga and laughing gas eggs.

He also appeared in the series The Lego Batman Movie and, Batman: The Brave And The Bold.

Cage is already preparing to star in his upcoming film Renfield. The film will hit the cinemas in April 2023.
