Look what’s coming to Disney+ this Christmas

It’s the best time of year ever to cosy up on the sofa with the family, some goodies and some Disney+ viewing and with so much to choose from, it can be difficult to pick what to watch so here’s a guide to make that easier!

Is it even Christmas without “Home Alone”? When Kevin McAllister is left behind while his family dashes off on a Christmas trip, he is left to defend his family's home from two bumbling burglars until his relatives return.

“Soul” features the voice of Jamie Foxx as “Joe Gardner” – a middle school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town.  But he ends up being taken from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a land where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests set before they arrive on Earth.  He teams up with 22 (the voice of Tina Fey) who doesn’t understand why anyone would want to be human.  Joe wants to show 22 what’s great about living.  Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” begins streaming exclusively on Disney + from Christmas

“Godmothered” is the perfect family movie.  It’s a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother who is still in training.  To be honest, she’s not great at the job.  She tracks down Mackenzie (30 years after she wrote a letter wishing for a fairy godmother) – the problem is now that she’s aged 40, Mackenzie thinks Eleanor is some sort of crazed stalker as she turns up everyone she goes.  Fair enough.  A film parents AND kids will love, “Godmothered” stars Jillian Bell and Isla Fisher

Taylor Swift fans will just love the intimate concert film about her number one album “Folklore”.  She recorded the album with the help of Bon Iver despite the fact they were thousands of miles apart and had never actually met…..until now thanks to the global pandemic.  “Taylor Swift folklore the long pond studio session”: Available November 25th

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special:  Following everything that happened in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rey sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force.  But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?

"Marvel's 616" is an 8-part documentary about the pioneering characters within Marvel told by 8 filmmakers.  We get to learn about Marvel’s artists throughout the globe, the trailblazing women of Marvel Comics and take a look at some of the forgotten characters.

Did you know Mickey Mouse is 92 years of age?  “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” is a revival of the Emmy-award winning TV series.  It features the star himself Mickey, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto.  The entire voice cast are back with the exception of the late Russi Taylor as Minnie Mouse who is succeeded by Kaitlyn Robrock.
