"They are kind, gentle people who are bearing the loss," local parish priest Fr. Anthony O'Sullivan said of the bereaving families. "It's devastating of course."

The funeral details for Eileen and Jamie were posted on RIP.ie and read as follows:

"A private family funeral will take place for Eileen. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday the 20th September at 11:00 am in St. Michael's Church, Lixnaw followed by burial in Kilfeighney Cemetery, Lixnaw.

"The Mass will be live streamed and may be viewed at Lixnawparishlivestream - AVSS Church Streaming Services.

"Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to The Irish Heart Foundation. Thank you for your co-operation, support and understanding at this difficult time.

"The family have appealed for privacy as they lay Eileen to rest."
