Wayne Rooney is said to be furious at footballer Jamie Vardy for releasing a statement saying Wayne was talking "nonsense" in court at the Wagatha Christie trial.

Wayne took to the witness stand saying when he was the England captain during the Euros 2016, his then-manager Roy Hodgson asked him to have a word with his teammate Jamie about his wife Rebekah's conduct.  Hodgson wanted her to "calm down" and they weren't happy about her diary column in The Sun newspaper during the tournament which he felt was distracting.

Jamie claimed in a statement how Wayne never spoke to him about Rebekah.  However, now it's been asked why Jamie didn't object in court.  Instead he left the courtroom early to release a statement.

Closing speeches will be heard tomorrow.
