Nancy Dell'Olio has paid tribute to her former partner Sven-Goran Eriksson, who passed away earlier this week.
Former England manager Eriksson passed away on Monday following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 76 years old.
Taking to social media, Italian lawyer Dell'Olio, who was in a relationship with Eriksson from 1998 to 2007, said she wanted to "remember the good times", despite their "ups and downs".
"It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my ex-husband, Sven", Dell'Olio said. "Though our relationship had its ups and downs, I choose to remember the good times we shared and the moments that brought joy to our lives".
She added: "I will always hold onto those cherished memories and extend my deepest condolences to his family, as well as his beloved children, Lina and Johan".
"When you love someone, that love never truly fades. Rest in peace, Sven. You will be missed".
The pair's relationship which lasted for 9 years, received strong press attention, especially when Eriksson was in charge of England.
Such "ups and downs" include when Eriksson's affaires with TV star Ulrika Jonsson and FA secretary Faria Alam hit the headlines.
