Piers Morgan has confirmed that Donald Trump will be the first guest to be interviewed on his new show.

Morgan confirmed the news after he posted a dramatic trailer of his interview with the former US president. This chat will air next week as part of the launch of Morgan's new show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

The trailer itself shows the pair clashing over Trump's claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged. This election of course saw Joe Biden elected at US President.

The interview will air on TalkTV on Monday at 8pm. Uncensored will stream on Fox Nation in the US, along with Sky News Austrailia.

Piers Morgan also announced that he would return to ITV as a guest on The Lorraine Kelly Show on Saturday.

This will see the presenter return to ITV for the first time in a year, after he stepped down from presenting Good Morning Britain, after he clashed with on air presenter Alex Baresford over the controversial Prince Harry and Meghan Markle interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Morgan caused controversy when he claimed that he did not believe allegations that Markle made during her interview regarding members of the British Royal family, which sparked over 50,000 Ofcom complaints, the most in its history.

"BREAKING: I’ll be returning to ITV tomorrow for first time since the Markle Debacle… live & definitely uncensored on @lorraineā© with the fabulous ā¦@reallorraineā© – should be fun… (may even storm back onto ā¦@GMBā© while I wait, & get those ratings back up.)", Morgan tweeted.

After he departed the ITV show, no permanent replacement has been announced to replace Morgan, with the likes of Richard Madeley deputising in a rotating cast of presenters.
