Alan Carr has revealed that fans will see "less of him" in 2023, as he is to take a break from showbiz following the traumatic breakdown of his marriage earlier this year.

Comedian Alan Carr separated from his husband Paul Drayton earlier this year.

“After 13 years as a couple and three years of marriage, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton would like to announce they are separating", a spokesperson for Alan Carr said at the time. “They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways".

Before his impending hiatus, Alan Carr has revealed that he will tell all regarding his separation in his "most personal" tour yet.

Alan Carr is currently working through his Regional Trinket Tour, which will see him perform several shows across June, July and September. The comedian will then embark on a range of shows worldwide in December.

“They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways", Carr said during a recent interview.

“So it's probably my most personal [tour], but it sort of works and it's quite raw and I go to places that I don't normally talk about", he continued. “It's like therapy really".

"Life's given me one of those years. Professionally, it has been amazing but personally, it's been a bit rubbish".

"I'm a grafter, I love working".

“Next year, you'll probably see a bit less of Alan. I'm going to sort myself out".

"might find love"

Chatty Man host Alan Carr has even hinted that he "might find love" during his break next year.

"I think I’m ready for it and, who knows, I might find love", Carr added.

“I might find a nice Scottish man. There was a man wading in the rivers [in Inverness] and I like a man in waders ...".
