Britney Spears' father Jamie has requested the court's "confirmation, authorisation and direction" for his daughter to pay for his legal fees to end this conservatorship.

Jamie Spears allegedly submitted documents requesting his daughter pay attorneys who are “participating in proceedings concerning Jamie’s ongoing fiduciary duties relating to winding up” matters regarding the conservatorship. This led to Jamie Spears taking control of his daughter's finances and personal affairs in 2008.

Jamie's legal fees will also require a "prompt payment" for the conservatorship to be “wound up quickly and efficiently to allow Britney to take control of her life as she and Jamie desire”.

During her conservatorship, Britney Spears was required to pay legal costs for his father's attorney costs. She was also required to pay her own fees seeking termination of this arrangement, an arrangement branded by Spears as "abusive" in a court hearing earlier this year.
