Check Out The Irish Stars Hoping To Win Celebrity Bake Off

It was confirmed that Irish presenters Laura Whitmore and Annie Mac will take part in Channel Four show The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, a joint fundraising campaign launched in 2012 from Channel Four and Cancer Research UK.

Comedian Matt Lucas will host the show, along with showcasing his baking skills. Other stars taking part also include Olympic legend Mo Farah, Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse and singer Ellie Goulding. 

Choirmaster Gareth Malone, comedians Alex Horne and Ed Gamble, along with TV presenter Emma Willis will also feature. 

Actor Ben Miller, will also appear as a contestant, alongside Inbetweeners Blake Harrison, TV presenter Sophie Morgan, TV star Ruby Wax, Tracy-Ann Oberman known for starring in Channel 4 hit Friday Night Dinner

Former Cornation Street actress Katherine Kelly who played the fiery Becky McDonald nee Granger on the soap completes the line up. 

Each episode will see celebrities battling it out over three rounds, the Signature, the Technical, and Showstopper challenge. Each celebrity will battle it out to win Star Baker and impress judges Paul Holloywood and Prue Leith.

As mentioned, Matt Lucas will also put his baking skills to the test, along with filling his role as host. 

 "I was forced to bake by my bosses at the last minute when one of the bakers became unavailable", he said. "I can't tell you how happy I was that my humiliation was caught on camera". 

This programme will start later this Spring.
