Diana Ross has confirmed that she will take the revered legends slot at next year's Glastonbury festival.

The singer who rose to stardom as part of the group The Supremes, will perform at the venue in June 2022. This slot has previously featured names like Lionel Ritchie, Kylie Minogue and Dolly Parton.

She was due to appear at the festival alongside Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift in 2020, but that was cancelled due to the pandemic.

“I’m so excited and grateful to finally know, that I’ll be seeing you at Glastonbury while on my UK Thank U Tour celebrating my new album of songs, Sunday, June 26, 2022", she said in a statement yesterday (June 9).

The festival's organiser Emily Eavis added, “I’m thrilled to be able to let you know that the magnificent @DianaRoss is coming to play at @glastonbury next summer. We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she’s the first to re-confirm for next year".

Diana Ross also release her new album "Thank You" last Friday (November 5).
