Eastenders legend Dot Cotton passes age 95

The actress June Brown, who has played "Dot Cotton" in "Eastenders" has sadly passed away at the age of 95. She slipped away at her own home with her family around her.

She played "Dot" since the soap started in 1985 and only retired in February last year.  

June had a lot of tragedy in her life.  Her baby brother died when he was just a few days old and 2 years later, her 8-year-old sister passed away.  June's first husband died by suicide after a battle with depression in 1957,  

She re-married and had 6 children.  Sadly, her second child died at 16 days old after a premature birth.  Her second husband died in 2003 three years after being diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia.
