Fans Overjoyed As ABBA Return After 40 Years

Pop giants ABBA have returned to music after 40 years, releasing two new songs, which will both feature on a new album "Voyage". The band also confirmed a "revolutionary" concert experience.

The band had confirmed yesterday that "Voyage" will be released on November 5 via Universal Music. This album will also feature the two new songs "Don't Shut Me Down" and "I Still Have Faith In You".

The band which consists of Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Anderson, Anni-Frid “Frida” Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog, also revealed details of a concert experience which will see a digital version of ABBA (not hologram) perform alongside a 10-piece live band in a purpose-built 3,000-capacity ABBA Arena at London's Elizabeth Olympic Park. 

These shows will begin on 27 May 2022.

Fans react

All around the world, fans have been reacting to this exciting news. 

Musician and comedian Grace Spelman wrote, “Babe,….BABE….wake up. Babe wake up. new Abba album". 

Drag queen singer-songwriter Trixie Mattel also added, “With ABBA VOYAGE, my unclockable Swedish accent will become America’s finest export". 

Music producer Edward Russell also added this. 

Other fans tweeted in their droves sharing their delight that ABBA are back.
