The first stills from the film My Policeman starring Harry Styles, have been released by Amazon Prime Video.

Directed by Michael Grandage, the film will premiere in UK cinemas on October 21 and November 4 on Prime Video.

This film sees singer Harry Styles star as a gay policeman named Tom Burgess who lives in a society of 1950s Britain, where homsexuality is illegal.

Things soon become complicated when Burgess begins dating Marion, a school teacher played by The Crown star Emma Corrin. However, Burgess soon starts a love affair with museum curator Patrick Hazelwood, played by David Dawson.

Burgess soon marries Marion, as he is forced to hide his true feelings. Tensions soon begin to grow between the couple, and Patrick's life ends in chaos.

My Policeman is also a film which moves between two time periods. The second period sees a much older Burgess who is played by Linus Roach, the son of Corrie star Bill Roach. In this period, Burgess' marriage to Marion (Gina McKee) becomes even more complicated as she agrees to let Patrick (Rupert Everett) stay in their home.

This film is also taken from an adapted screenplay by Oscar winner Ron Nyswaner who also directed 1993 film Philadelphia which starred Tom Hanks and Denzil Washington.
