Hector Ó hEochagáin Shares Sad News Of The Passing Of His Brother Freddie

Hector Ó hEochagáin has shared the devastating news that his brother Freddie has passed away.

Hector took to Twitter to confirm the news. He announced that he and his podcast co-host Tommy Tiernan would not being doing a show this week following this sad news. 

Yesterday, the TG4 star tweeted this, 

‘So it’s with a sad heart that we bring the news of the sudden passing of Hector’s brother Freddie", Hector tweeted. 

‘He was the star of many great adventures and tales that were told on this podcast over the last year". 

‘As a mark of respect to Freddie and his family in Ireland and Denmark, there will be no episode from the Hen House this week", he added. 

Hector concluded by saying,  "Memories and smiles will stay with us forever… Rest in Peace now Freddie". 

Described as, "the star of many great adventures and tales", the podcaster regularly spoke about his brother Freddie on the Tommy Hector and Laurita Podcast. 

"Deepest condolences"

Friends and followers of the podcast have offered their condolences to Hector at this difficult time. 

"Deepest condolences to you and your entire family, such is the power of your storytelling on the podcast that we feel like we know Freddy. I will always smile when I see a Mitsubishi Colt and think of that brilliant tale you told about him", one wrote. 

While another wrote, "So sorry to hear this Hector. I remember the episode when you told Tommy that you always told your brother you loved him when you talked on the phone".
