Kate Winslet helped to make the life of a young journalist so much easier, by offering words of encouraging ahead of the young reporter's first ever interview.

The actress was speaking to German public service broadcaster ZDF about her latest film Avatar: The Way of Water.

Winslet was interviewed by a young journalist named Martha. When the actress was informed that this was Martha's first interview with anyone, the Titanic star took time out to encourage her, offering a guiding hand and taking a breather, insisting that the chat would be "the most amazing interview ever".

"This is my first time [interviewing]", Martha informs Kate. 'It's your first time doing it?", was her response.

"Well guess what, when we do this interview, it's going to be the most amazing interview ever - and do you know why? Because we've decided that it is going to be", she added.

"So we've decided right now, me and you, that this is going to be a fantastic interview", she added. "And you can ask me anything that you want, and you don't have to be scared, everything is going to be amazing".

"Okay? You've got this! Okay, let's do it!'".

This heartwarming exchange was also shared via social media, with fans full of praise for Kate Winslet.

"Genuinely what a lovely thing for her to say, she didn’t have to, i bet that makes a lifelong difference", one fan commented.

Another added, "Junkets can be really nerve wracking. Words of encouragement and kindness like this can go such a long way".

"I adore Kate Winslet on every level", another fan wrote.  "This is how to celebrity".

"She's such a good person. I love Kate!'".

ZDF helps to encourage young people to get into journalism, offering "child reporters" the opportunity to interview big names such as Kate Winslet.

Avatar: The Way Of Water will be released next Friday.
