Two, massive American sitcoms may have been drastically different had the 56-year-old been cast as the compulsive cleaner and chef.

Sex and the City star, Kirstin Davis could have landed another major role before playing she settled as Charlotte York. Speaking to James Cordon on The Late Late Show, the actress revealed she had been in the running to play Friends character, Monica Geller.

When asked if it was true that she was “quite close” to securing the role of compulsive cleaner and chef, Monica, Kristin explained, “I don’t think that we could say quite close. I think I was about one of, like, 8,000 young ladies who read for Monica, and Courteney Cox got her.”

As history has shown, things did not play out too badly for Kirsten as in 1998, she had landed a starring role of her own in the hugely successful HBO sitcom, SATC. The 56-year-old has been donning exquisite fashion for over a decade, continuing to dazzle in the reboot, And Just Like That.

During her chat with James, Kristin further revealed that at the time she and Courtney auditioned for the part of Monica, they were actually friends. “Courteney and I were in the same yoga class at the time, and we used to hang out.”

On one occasion, Courtney asked her if she would like to go car shopping as she wanted to buy a Porsche. The soon-to-be Monica Geller explained that she had a “really good feeling” about a pilot she's just auditioned for.

With her “really good feeling” proving to be correct, Courtney shot to worldwide fame in 1994, starring as the New York 20-something. You can watch Kristin's interview with James Corden below:
