The LA Police Department have said that as it stands no investigation is being launched into the sexual assault allegations made against Sex and the City star Chris Noth.

Noth who is known for playing Mr Big on the show has been accused of assaulting two women more than 10 years apart. Allegations dismissed by the 67 year old actor as "categorically false".

The two women in question do not know each other. They both approached the Hollywood Reporter to claim that Noth's reprisal of the Mr Big role on Sex and the City spin off Just Like That has caused painful memories.

One women who gave the pseudonym Zoe said that she was working in an entry level job for a high profile firm which did a lot of business with Sex and the City. She claimed that Noth assaulted her in her LA apartment in 2004.

The other women who gave the pseudonym Lily said that she was 25 years old when Noth allegedly assaulted her. She claimed that she had been working as a waitress for a VIP section in a New York nightclub from 2015.

"no record"

Following these accusations, police officer Drake Madison of the LAPD said that no report has been officially filed.

"There is no record of a report being filed at this time", he said. "Without a report, there is no investigation".

Noth released this statement when the allegations came to light.

"The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false".

"These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago - no always means no - that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual".

The statement added, "It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women".

"Unaware"

Noth's character was killed off in "Just Like That" after taking a Peleton spin class. Noth featured in an advert for the fitness brand.

The advert has been removed from social media, in light of these recent allegations. They said they were "unaware" of the allegations made against Noth.

Actor Ryan Reynolds who is a senior fitness instructor for the brand, and also features in the advert removed this video from his social media account.
