Paul Mescal Spotted Shooting Gladiator Scenes For The First Time

Paul Mescal has been pictured shooting scenes for the upcoming Gladiator sequel for the first time.

Normal People star Mescal will star as Lucius Verus, the son of Lucilla in the upcoming Gladiator sequel, directed by Ridley Scott, with photos of Mescal in character made public for the first time.

While details regarding the sequel remain lacking, Paul Mescal is to star alongside Pedro Pascal, who will play a Roman general, condemned to become a gladiator after he wanted to stop sending men into conflict. 

Denzel Washington is to also feature in the sequel, portraying the role of an arms and commodity dealer who holds a grudge against emperors. 

In the photos which were share via the Daily Mail Online, Mescal can be spotted wearing brown and silver armour, with blood pouring from his head, as he shoots the scenes from Sussex in the UK.

So far, major battle scenes have been filmed for this sequel, with some people on horses, and others wearing full armour, storming across the grass.
