Shane MacGowan And Victoria Mary Clarke Pay Tribute To Close Friend Johnny Depp

Shane MacGowan and his wife Victoria Mary Clarke are full of "excitement and gratitude" following their friend Johnny Depp's defamation trial victory over his ex wife Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp sued his ex wife Amber Heard over an which article she published in the Washington Post in 2018, which alleged that Heard had been physically and sexually abused by her ex husband Depp during their marriage.

The couple divorced in 2017, having first met in 2009 and tying the knot in 2015.

In court, Depp was awarded $15 million in damages, including $5 million in punitive costs.

Shane MacGowan and Victoria Mary Clarke are close friends of Johnny Depp, and the pair posted a joint message via Instagram, following the verdict. 

“This is just SO ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!!!! There are no words to express our excitement and gratitude", they wrote.

“We have been praying and praying for this for years and to finally see justice is thrilling beyond measure!!! Well done to everyone involved and well done to everyone who stood by him no matter what!!! #justiceforjohnnydepp". 

The pair have been very supportive of Johnny Depp during this court battle.
