Squid Game, Stranger Things & Succession Among Winners At Creative Arts Emmys

Squid Game, Stranger Things and Succession were among shows who won big at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards over the weekend.

The South Korean drama Squid Game landed accolades for acting, along with three other awards. 

The acting accolade was awarded to Lee You-mi who played Ji Young, a young woman forced to compete in a risky quest for money, after being released from prison in the Netlix drama. 

On top of this, 'Squid Game' have also been nominated for the top drama at the upcoming televised red carpet event next week (September 12), becoming the first non-English language series to earn a nomination. Lead actor and other awards will be handed out at this event.

"I'm so very happy", the actor told the audience while accepting the award. 

Elsewhere, Stranger Things also earned five Creative Arts awards, including music supervision. The show's inclusion of Kate Bush's 1985 hit 'Running Up That Hill' saw the tune hit the charts. 

HBO's Succession also earned an award for Casting, it also remains in the hunt for best drama.
