Pink Is Officially The Most Played Female Artist In The UK

It’s official: The Brits love Pink. The Philadelphia native is the most-played female artist of the 21st century in the U.K., according to a new report published by PPL and based on airplay data.

It is official, Pink is definitely a favourite of UK listeners as the singer has been announced as the most-played female artist in the UK. Based on airplay data, the Philadelphia native, and So What singer, tops a list compiled by PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited) ahead of National Album Day.

Next in the pecking order is American singer, Madonna, closely followed by Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga, who make up the top 5. UK artists, Adele and Little Mix have to settle for 6th and 9th place, respectively, with Ellie Goulding rated 15th.

Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, and Whitney Houston make up the remainders of the top 10, with record breaker, Taylor Swift in 11th. See the full list of 20 most-played female artists at the bottom of the page.
