Adele Confirms Brit Award Performance While Quashing Breakup Rumours

Hello singer, Adele has announced she is set to perform at the Brit Awards next Tuesday, while quashing rumours of her split with Rich Paul. Following media reports suggesting she had been due to appear at the event but had pulled out, the 33-year-old posted on social media to confirm the news.

In the statement released on Monday, the star exclaimed her excitement ahead of the big event. The singer shared; “Hiya, so I'm really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!!” Adele also appeared to address rumours she had split from her boyfriend, US sports agent Rich Paul, adding: “Oh, and Rich sends his love.

It comes after the Easy On Me singer postponed her Las Vegas residency at short notice, when due to perform on January 21st. Grammy-winning country musician, Keith Urban has stepped up to replace Adele, who gave a teary-eyed apology to her fans. In a tearful announcement, she said the show was not ready, having been “absolutely destroyed” by delivery delays and coronavirus. Her run of shows at Caesars Palace were due to begin on January 21st and will continue on until April 16th.

Adele said it was simply “impossible” to complete preparations for the show, in time for opening night. However, the singer apologised to fans for the last-minute decision and promised dates would be rescheduled in the future.

Rising to fame through her beautiful music, Adele has won nine Brit Awards, including the prize for rising star in 2008. She has performed at the live ceremony several times. The singer has performed live at the Brit Awards multiple times throughout her career. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday the 8th of February and will be hosted by British comedian, Mo Gilligan.
