Eve Hewson To Receive Rising Talent Accolade At Oscar Wilde Awards

Eve Hewson is to receive the rising talent gong at the Oscar Wilde Awards ceremony at Santa Monica.

The Irish actor and second eldest of U2 singer Bono and wife Ali Hewson, will receive the Wilde Card Award at the ceremony, hosted by the US-Ireland alliance.

Eve Hewson is currently starring in Apple TV's dark comedy Bad Sisters, which sees the actor star alongside Sharon Horgan. Having earned the Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Drama Series, the Dublin based set has been renewed for a second season.

Hewson will also play a lead role in John Carney's Flora and Son, which will be premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. 

Awarded to rising Irish or Irish American actors, several household names have picked up Wilde Card Awards over the years, including Jessie Buckley and Kerry Condon, with Saoirse Ronan becoming the first recipient of the accolade in 2010. 

Taking place on March 9, the Oscar Wilde Awards will be held at Bad Robot, the Santa Monica producion of Katie McGrath and JJ Abrams.
