HBO's Succession Lands Impressive 25 Emmy Nominations

HBO series Succession landed the most Emmy Award nominations with 25.

The series which follows an ego-driven family who own the biggest media and entertainment company in the world, earned more nominations than shows like The White Lotus and Ted Lasso from Apple TV+, who both have received 20 nominations each.

Along with being nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, the show's stars Jeremy Strong and Brian Cox have also been nominated for lead actor in a drama series. 

Other actors nominated in this category also include Jason Bateman, Adam Scott, Bob Odenkirk and the Squid Game's Lee Jung-Jae.

Killing Eve star Jodie Camer has also been nominated for lead actress in a drama series, alongside her co-star Sandra Oh, Zendaya, Reese Wotherspoon, Marie Lynskey and Laura Linney.

The nominations for Outstanding lead actor in a limited anthology series or movie include, Colin Firth, Andrew Garfield, Sebastian Stan, Himesh Patel and Michael Keaton. 

Other HBO shows recognised on the night also include Hacks which received 17 nominations in total, as did Hulu drama Only Murders In The Building. Eurphoria also received 16 nominations. 

This 74th Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on 12 September at 8pm.
