Tom Hanks Spotted Supporting Beloved Aston Villa At Penultimate Premier League Game

Hollywood actor Tom Hanks was spotted supporting his favourite team Aston Villa at their penultimate Premier League game of the season last night.

Hanks renowned for starring of classic films Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, and Sleepless in Seattle among others, was in the Villa Park Box, watching his beloved Villa side secure a dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool in a dramatic fight back, which saw them trail 3-1 with 10 minutes remaining. 

However, two goals from sub Jon Dhuran secured a late point for the Villains in their final home game of the season, meaning that victory in their final game of the season would secure a place in next season's Champions League.

Ahead of the game, Tom Hanks was videoed giving the following message: “Hello Birmingham, Tom Hanks here celebrating the penultimate match here in Villa Park. Looking forward to it”. 

He also added, “Good news on the horizon, let’s hope so. Up the Villa! Forever Villa”. 

Hanks had previously revealed that he decided to support Aston Villa after he saw a list of results, and though the club's name sounded  “like a place you’d go on holiday in the summertime”.
